I am a proud citizen of the Kingdom of Belgium	I graduated as civil mechanical-electrotechnical engineer at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Department ETEC, and obtained my PhD in 2003. I am still involved in research projects of this department.	I am now serving as a lecturer at the industrial sciences and technology department of the Erasmus Hogeschool Brussel.	The ancient science of Alchemy, even if usually heavily vilified, may have a considerable worth for helping to understand the physical and spiritual world



I endorse travel by train, probably the most civilised form of travel ever invented.	In 1987 and 1988 I served in the Belgian Navy, a small but very highly rated force.



I appreciate good things in life like enjoying a pint of Belgian beer...	..or a dram of Scotch malt whisky...	...after a walk on good shoes...
