Rain again for the last part of the trip, down to Craigston and along the Barra circular road to Castlebay. There is no campsite here, but it is tolerated to pitch on the seaside near the centre. Time to go to the shop and to the pub, talking to friendly locals, sailors from the ferry and another Belgian. There are lots of Americans around for the MacNeil clan gathering, including a black guy in a kilt! There is a ceilidh on, but not much action to be seen so I return to the pub. A nice evening! Barra is a place with good craic. Covered 7,2 miles today.
The next morning, I board the Clansman back to the mainland.
