A sunny day again. Crossing the causeway to South Uist, and then an easy walk along the old road parallelling the new A865. A pause at the Loch Bi causeway, and a bit down the road at the magnificent statue of Our Lady of the Isles, which marks the catholic heritage of South Uist contrasting the strictly protestant northern isles. I leave the main road and pitch at the head of Loch Bruidibeag nature reserve (NF78763827), a very nice spot reached after 10,2 miles walking.
