Today following the coast, on paths of variable quality or nonexisting at all. I decide to stay close to the waterline, where a narrow rocky strip is generally quite praticable. At Proaig bothy, there is a whole crowd present, mostly Americans wearing old Barbour jackets from their holiday cottage and getting instructed about traditional fieldcraft! I have lunch there and set on, past Mc Arthurs point lighthouse, and reach the excellent An Cladach bothy. I covered just 5,5 miles today on this terrain, but decided to stop here at this excellent accomodation, beautifully located overlooking its bay and fitted out with all amenities one can expect for a bothy! |
