A quite steep climb out of the glen to reach the old route of the A87 diverted when Loch Loyne was raised. An easy walk on this narrow road, and descending to the Cluanie Inn for a hot lunch and of course a couple of pints! Time to go up the An Caorann Mor, the first part on a good path but then an extremely boggy bit descending into Glen Affric. The Alltbeithe hostel is well patronized. Covered 14,5 miles today, the weather stayed dry. |
