Wednesday April 7
snoweidartfalls
The rain had stopped in the evening, and the night remained dry. The morning had the waters receded with nearly two feet, and the burn was easy to ford now. Soon I hit a new forest road, not figuring on the map, which brought me in the good direction before it abruptly stopped in the middle of nowhere and I had to join the small path again. Another bridge on the OS map which was not to be found (at NH13100010), but the Allt Choire a Bhalachain could easily be forded a bit downstream, allowing to reach the main bridge over the river Garry. A short walk west along the road to Kinloch Hourn (which carried quite a lot of traffic), and then up the hill again, towards the Mam a Seilg and down into Glen Loyne. The River Loyne was easy to ford, and I pitched at NH09150554. I was back on track and on schedule, covered 9,5 miles today.
