It rained all night, and during the day the weather is variable with intermittent showers. The march today largely follows the winding road along the south coast of Harris. Small settlements and fish farms line the road, until the tiny village of Roghadal (Rodel) is reached, charactrized by its atmospheric St. Clements church. The Rodel hotel is fortunately open for a drink, after which I head over the hill to reach the coast road to Leverburgh. I stay in the excellent bunkhouse "An bothan" and have dinner at the Anchorage restaurant near the pier. 13,7 miles walking today.
