The morning I set off towards North Uist, being passed by the architect on his bike underway to the ferry. The weather has become nice, the sun is shining. The first part of walk is on the road, which is luckily not too busy. I leave the road and head to the northern slopes of Maireabhal first over a rough path, then straight through the bog (which happened to be quite praticable due to a long dry spell on the islands), nevertheless a very tiring trek in hot weather until I reach Loch Musgriob (NF82367092) and can finally imbibe on fresh loch water from the filter, followed by a hot meal and a dram! 14,1 miles today.
