From the hostel it was a short walk to
Corrour station where I watched the train to Fort William pass, but I
walked on, following the railway and then descending to Loch Treig, and
up the valley of the Abhainn Rath from Creaguaineach Lodge. I followed
the north bank of this major and truly unaffordable river, on a path
of various quality, to the plain of Luibeilt and Meanach bothy where
two men had passed by for maintenance work. I still continued a bit through
the very boggy glen until I passed the watershed and pitched near the
source of the Water of Nevis (NN23236944), having covered 12,5 miles. |
