Sunday March 30
snoweidartfalls
The morning was warm however, and after the morning bacon and oatmeal I set off (quite late, taking into account the movement to summer time) for the crossing of Glen Geldie which proved very difficult, with (molten) snow often several feet deep. The progress was excruciatingly slow through the lonely glen, where I just met one man and his dog. Glen Geldie is one of the most barren and desolate places around, without great views, and even left alone by the satellites, as the GPS tracking did strange things in places as shown on the map below. It was well into the afternoon when the watershed with the Feshie was crossed and soon after the Eidart falls were reached. I pitched at half past six on a nice spot in upper Glen Feshie (NN89668872), having covered a meagre 8,5 miles today. Much less than I had planned, so some B and C plans where thought upon, but one would see tomorrow how things would go on.
