Today there is a big climb to be done: up to the highest point of the trip, over 2500 feet! Nevertheless it is almost 11.00 when I break up camp an leave. Despite the fog there are splendid views. The path is well practicable up to the top. Lunch break at the Lochan Sgearaich and further to on the plateau at Meall a'Choire Ghlais. No path further on, the descent to Gleann Beag must be taken on sight. Through the boggy bottom of the glen I reach Glenbeg (NH313835), where there are two bothies available! There is no one else present. I light the stove is switched on, but it is a smoky affair, until it becomes clear that flue vent is still closed! Once this is open, the stove burns like hell, allowing me to get all wet clothes dry andd pass a warm evening at the stove until it burned out! Today just 8,5 miles were covered. 177
