No walking today, just a day at the beach. Sandwood Bay is rightly considered one of the best of its kind. Guarded at its south end by Am Buachaille, the wide stretch of sand reaches out for a mile.
After finding a better pitch, time for a long barefoot walk, seawater is good for the feet. The beach is reasonably well frequented, about a dozen people for the day. No sign of the mermaid who haunts this beach, although I find a nice treat in the sand: a fresh bottle of beer, perfectly drinkable!
